Trainees undergo 36 months of certified training time comprising:
An Advanced Training Research Project is required as well as a specific Immunology and Allergy project if the Advanced Training Research Project is not specific to immunology and allergy + supervised by an Immunology and Allergy Fellow + completed during training
There is an alternative option for clinical immunology/immunopathology joint training (RACP + RCPA accredited)
Joint: 18 months core clinical training, 2 years minimum core laboratory training, 6 months maximum non-core training. An Advanced Training Research Project is required as well as a specific Immunology and Allergy project if the Advanced Training Research Project is not specific to immunology and allergy + supervised by an Immunology and Allergy Fellow + completed during training.
Additional to the above, this will require success in the RCPA Basic Pathological Sciences Examination and RCPA Part I/II Examinations.
A variety of other smaller assessments are included within either of these structures.
